Kōyasan Access

HOW TO REACH KŌYASAN REIKI SPACE
Kōyasan is at 800 m above sea level and is much cooler than Osaka. Mountain conditions here are very variable, with sudden torrential rain, fog, or snow. Morning travel is therefore strongly recommended.

From Osaka Nankai Namba Station, the most convenient Limited Express trains run direct to Gokurakubashi (mostly early morning). A 5-minute cable car ride then brings you to the top of the mountain, to Kōyasan Station / Bus Terminal. From here, all buses bound for Okunoinmae stop at Daimon Bus Stop, which is just three minutes’ walk from Reiki Space.

Taxis can be arranged by telephone at Kōyasan Station. Service is Japanese-language only and typically operates between approximately 09:00 and 16:00 daily.

ACCESS FROM MAJOR AREAS

Kumano Area
Seasonal buses (semi-direct from Tanabe to Okunoinmae), or the Kuroshio Limited Express train (year round).

Osaka
Train and bus: Nankai Namba Station (Osaka) → Gokurakubashi (Kōyasan) → bus to Daimon Bus Stop.

Kyoto
Seasonal bus service (11 April 2026 – 30 November 2026) → Daimon-minami Chūshajō Bus Stop.

Nankai Rapi:t or Airport Express → Namba / Tengachaya → Kōyasan → Daimon Bus Stop.

Itami Airport (ITM)
Airport Limousine Bus → Namba → Kōyasan Bus Terminal → Daimon Bus Stop.
